The Hank area is underlain by agglomerate, volcanic sandstone, chert and tuff, possibly related to the Eocene Sloko Group.

A 5- to 10-centimetre massive sulphide vein of pyrite and galena is located north of the saddle and is oriented at a 5-degree strike and 60-degree east dip. Sample DY7-17D from a small, massive sulphide vein yielded 77.14 grams per tonne silver, 6.76 per cent lead, and 0.29 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 19212).

In 1989, Equity Silver Mines Limited conducted detailed mapping and sampling on the northeastern portion of their Hank claim and discovered the galena-bearing sulphide vein.
