The Gossan showing is located southeast of Tutshi Lake and west of Moon Lake, and about 70 kilometres west-northwest of Atlin.

Three grab samples of float from below the Gossan zone cliff yielded up to 0.39 grams per tonne gold (from one sample) and greater than 1 per cent lead from a galena-bearing quartz sample (Assessment Report 27674). One of the samples seemed to show skarn elements and another sample of medium green plagioclase porphyritic intermediate tuff contained up to 15 per cent very fine-grained disseminated and banded pyrite and possibly traces of chalcopyrite. The cliffs of the Gossan zone are comprised of Devonian to Middle Triassic Boundary Ranges Metamorphic Suite rocks that have been intruded by Late Cretaceous granite, and Triassic to Jurassic granitoid intrusions along the Llewellyn fault. These granitoid intrusions occur a few hundred metres southeast of the Gossan occurrence.

The Tut claims were staked in 1986 and 1987 by Noranda to cover a large alteration zone and the source areas for gold-bearing float. The claims cover several old showings known as the Jessie/Great Northern (104M 027) and Big Thing (104M 071). An extensive geophysical and geochemical program, conducted in 1987, outlined two areas of interest (the Camp (104M 090) and Carbonate (104M 057) zones).

In 2004, Marksmen Resources conducted an airborne geophysical survey program over 3 claim blocks consisting of a high-resolution helicopter magnetic, electromagnetic (HEM) and radiometric survey. The three blocks consisted of the Bennett Lake - Tannis Block (Main Block) to the west of Tutshi Lake; the Golden Eagle Block to the south and east of Tutshi Lake; and the Reconnaissance Lines to the north and south of the Tannis Block. A total of 661 line-kilometres of geophysical data were acquired, covering an area of approximately 139 square kilometres.
