Capsule Geology

The Vermillion showing area is underlain by Pennsylvanian volcanic rock and Lower Permian limestone of the Stikine Assemblage.

Sample 147267 was a 15 centimetre wide quartz vein with 10 per cent pyrite stibnite, galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite. This sample was taken about 800 hundred metres taken northeast of the Giver showing and assayed 17.78 grams per tonne gold, 120.9 grams per tonne silver, 1.23 per cent copper, 0.27 per cent antimony, 0.12 per cent zinc and 0.056 per cent lead (Assessment Report 29395).

The showing was discovered in 2007 by Paget Resources. Refer to Giver 104K 105 for details of the work history.
