The Talisker developed prospect occurs within a stock (Thorn stock) of feldspar porphyry related to the Late Cretaceous Windy Table Complex.
The 2013 SRK structural study is given in part within this paragraph. The Talisker Zone has previously been regarded as a northeast-trending vein or zone of mineralization within the Thorn Stock intrusive suite. It is located immediately below the pyroclastic Windy Table Volcanic Suite contact with Thorn Stock. SRK observed northeast to east-northeast striking faults in the zone. Mineralized outcrops were not observed. The Talisker zone has been intersected by at least 6 drill holes (by end of 2013). Some drill holes have been collared in the Windy Table Volcanic Suite, up slope of the expected outcrop of the Talisker zone. Drill hole THN-11-51 has well developed banded quartz-pyrite veins. The anomalous gold-copper-silver grades start at the first intersection of a fault zone (52.16 metres) and extend over the fault zone width of about 45 metres. Slickensides on fault surfaces crosscut the breccia and mineralization. The zone includes pervasive sericite, chlorite, and silica alteration. Mineralization includes pyrite and sulphosalts (presumable enargite and/or tetrahedrite). Observed textures suggest that the silicified rock and laminated veins were subsequently re-fractured through on-going deformation which provided dilatation gaps for massive sulphide infill. There are also late talc alteration and veins.
Since 2002, Cangold Limited held the Thorn property under option from Rimfire Minerals. A 500-metre-long IP chargeability anomaly was tested in 2004 by drill hole THN04-29 which intersected strongly sericitized Thorn stock porphyry with 2 per cent disseminated to stringer style pyrite-enargite and several pyrite-enargite-silica veins up to 75 centimetres wide. A 56.1 metre drill interval yielded 1.27 grams per tonne gold, 16.7 grams per tonne silver and 0.19 per cent copper (http://www.cangold.ca/s/Thorn.asp). Follow-up drilling in 2005 extended the Talisker zone over a strike length of at least 200 metres. Two holes were drilled including THN05-37, which cut 4.2 metres grading 4.44 grams per tonne gold, 407.9 grams per tonne silver, and 2.95 per cent copper, 100 metres east-northeast of the 2004 hole (www.cangold.ca/s/Thorn.asp and Assessment Report 28151). Other 2005 work included further IP coverage to the north of the 2004 survey, initial mapping, and sampling of the Windy Table volcanics. In 2005, Adam Simmons completed his M.Sc. thesis on the geology and geochronology of the Thorn property and surrounding area.
In 2011, Equity Exploration, on behalf of Brixton Metals Corporation reported on the Talisker zone. It is a high sulphidation vein corridor discovered in 2004 by drilling an IP chargeability anomaly (Assessment Report 27673). The area is completely till-covered, and no outcrops exist. Drilling in 2011 and previous campaigns extended the Talisker Zone under the Windy Table volcanic pile to the east. The westward extension of the Talisker, however, is problematic. Mapping of outcrops on the La Jaune Creek slope break west of the Talisker drill holes are weakly altered with no evidence for the Talisker zone. Most of these outcrops are characterized by a strong, pervasive shear fabric trending 220-190 degrees. 2011 drillhole THN11-51 yielded a 49.78 metre interval assaying 1.41 grams per tonne gold, 19.0 grams per tonne silver and 0.25 per cent copper (Assessment Report 32769). Mineralization in this hole occurs as pyrite and sulphosalts in a silica alteration zone. Tetrahedrite, enargite, galena and sphalerite are also reported.
During 2010, Geotech Ltd., on Behalf of Brixton Metals Corporation, carried out a helicopter-borne VTEM/magnetic survey over 467.3 line-kilometres of the east-central part of the Thorn property in an attempt to see through the Windy Table rocks. A previously unrecognized, broad conductive zone was located approximately 2000 metres northwest of the Talisker corridor and parallel to it
In 2012, Brixton Metals conducted a two-phase exploration program comprised of 26 diamond drill holes totaling 2,889.67 metres, the collection of 362 soil samples, and one rock sample (Assessment Report 33597). Diamond drilling was focused on delineating mineralization within the Oban breccia zone (104K 168).
In 2013, Brixton Metals drilled 35 diamond drill holes during a two-phase exploration program for a total of 6.078 metres at the Oban, Talisker and Glenfiddich Zones of the Thorn Property. The also collected 1,368 soil samples and 13 rock samples, conducted a specific gravity survey on drill core and contracted SRK Consulting Canada Inc. to perform detailed structural analysis of the Thorn Property.
In 2014, Brixton Metals Corp established a combined inferred resource estimate for Oban (104K 168), Glenfiddich and Talisker (104K 133) zones at 7.4 million tonnes, grading at 89.75 grams per tonne silver equivalent (Assessment Report 35192). The resource model is based on 35 historical drill holes and 64 recent drill holes completed by Brixton. Most of the drilling by Brixton has concentrated on the Oban Zone with the majority of this taking place during the 2012-2013 exploration programs. Of the total drilling, 11,000 metres was directed to the Oban deposit, 2,160 metres was within the Talisker Zone and 2,000 metres in the Glenfiddich Zone. The Talisker portion of the above combined total (In Pit) is 2,100,000 tonnes grading 0.75 gram per tonne gold, 15.29 grams per tonne silver and 0.13 per cent copper (Assessment Report 35192).
In 2018 Brixton Metals Corporation examined and sampled intrusive and volcanic rocks from drill core and outcrop at the Chivas Zone (THN17-149); as well as drill core from select holes at the Oban (THN11-60 and THN13-119), Talisker (THN11-56) and Outlaw (THN14-128) zones in order to assess district-scale mineralization and metal zoning. The collection of 15 samples for petrographic analysis was carried out in order to document intrusive rock mineralogy and mineralization styles from Chivas, Oban, Talisker and Outlaw (104K 083).
Based on limited core review in 2018, mineralization in the Oban, Talisker, Glenfiddich zones are polymetallic (silver- gold plus minus lead, zinc, copper) and related to heterolithic breccias (especially at the Oban Zone) and intermediate-to-high-sulphidation veins. Sulphide content commonly exceeds 5 volume per cent primarily as pyrite but with significant galena, sphalerite, tetrahedrite/tennantite, chalcopyrite and boulangerite. For the Oban, Glenfiddich and Talisker area, increasing copper toward the bottom of the deep hole THN13-119 has been noted previously. Selenium and tellurium show a pronounced southward gradient from the Oban holes toward and across Glenfiddich. Glenfiddich holes THN13-121 and 122 contain 2 to greater than 8 parts per million selenium and 3 to 20 parts per million tellurium. Talisker hole THN13-120 is also selenium and tellurium-anomalous but less so than the Glenfiddich holes. Possible interpretations for these findings are a deeper porphyry copper-gold centre possibly resides beneath Oban or a porphyry centre beneath or near the Glenfiddich holes.

In 2018, small geochemical sampling surveys were carried out over areas of the Chivas, Outlaw, Glenfiddich and Talisker zones, in an area termed the “Oban-Outlaw soil anomaly” and along Cirque Creek (Assessment Report 38219). Rock and soil samples were collected in each area to test or extend previously discovered geochemical anomalies in each area. A total of 28 soil samples and 87 rock samples were collected throughout the Thorn Property.
In 2019, Brixton conducted geological mapping and soil and rock geochemistry at the Chivas zone expanding the porphyry target to 3 kilometres along strike which remains open. Brixton completed a 9.1 line-kilometre IP-magnetotelluric survey across the Camp Creek copper corridor, which also contains the Oban diatreme breccia pipe and Glenfiddich zone. This survey showed a chargeability high over the Oban zone. Intersections of porphyry-style copper-gold-molybdenum mineralization in multiple 2019 drill holes in the Camp Creek Corridor targets:
THN19-150 (Oban): 554.70 metres at 1.97 grams per tonne gold equivalent (97.00-651.70 metres);
THN19-151 (Oban): 256.87 metres at 2.31 grams per tonne gold equivalent (100.18-357.05 metres);
THN19-162 (Glenfiddich): 230.82 metres at 0.27 per cent copper equivalent (323.00-553.82 metres);
THN19-163 (north of Oban near Camp Creek): 9.03 metres 0.29 gram per tonne gold, 2.87 grams per tonnes silver and 0.2 per cent zinc. (Press Release, Brixton Metals Corp., Dec.19, 2019). Drill hole THN19-163 was designed to test the high chargeability anomaly delineated by the fall 2019 TITAN 24 DCIP Survey conducted in the Camp Creek area. The hole intersected gold-silver-zinc mineralization, which is hosted mainly in a matrix rich diatreme breccia unit and consists of sulphides as disseminated or veins.
In 2020, Brixton Metals Corporation completed 3,025 metres of drilling within 16 core holes on the new Central Outlaw and West Outlaw zones. A total of 1473 rock samples and 5588 soil samples were also collected throughout the Thorn property (Press Release, Brixton Metals Corp., Dec.15, 2020).
In June 2021, an updated mineral resource for the Talisker open-pit deposit was reported at 2 272 000 tonnes inferred grading 14.71 grams per tonne silver, 0.72 gram per tonne gold and 0.12 per cent copper (Burrell, H., Deiss, A.M. [2021-06-23]: Thorn Property NI 43-101 Technical Report Sutlahine River Area, British Columbia, Atlin Mining Division).
