The Zero occurrence is located along Thibert Creek, between Delure and Boulder creeks, about 6.5 kilometres west of the north end of Dease Lake.
The showing is located near the boundary of the Cache Creek and Quesnel terranes. A Late Triassic hornblende diorite intrusion occurs on the north side of Thibert Creek. On the south, mixed Cache Creek Complex rocks include greywacke, slate, chert, and undivided sediments and volcanics of the Mississippian-Triassic Kedahda Formation, and Upper Mississippian-Permian serpentinite and peridotite.
Float containing malachite and chalcopyrite occurs along Thibert Creek. There are also two areas where a very large amount of dead trees occur. This growth has a pronounced green colour. An ashed sample of this wood yielded 2.98 per cent copper (Croteau, 1969).
In 2015 and 2016, Joseph Hidber collected 7 rock and 19 soil samples on his Thibert Creek mineral claims. Nineteen soil samples and one rock sample were collected along two lines on the north bank of Thibert Creek in the suspected vicinity of the Zero showing. Six additional rock samples were collected from other parts of the property. Copper results of all rock samples (on the property) were uniformly low ranging from 8.5 parts per million to 49.3 parts per million (Assessment Report 36794). Float sample 97, collected from the Zero showing area returned 46.1 parts per million copper (Assessment Report 36794). Gold, platinum, and palladium analyses were uniformly low. Two soil exploratory soil lines were run. One was run just north of and along Thibert Creek near the plotted MINFILE location of the Zero showing. Soil sample 101 returned the highest gold and copper values of 15 parts per billion gold and 142.3 parts per million copper (Assessment Report 36794). Sample 109 to 112 demonstrated elevated nickel values (greater than 100 parts per million) as compared to the remaining samples. The other soil line was run about 500 metres northeast of the Zero area.
