The Norma showing is located approximately 105 kilometres northeast of the community of Dease Lake.
The area is underlain by Upper Silurian to Middle Devonian (Givetian) sedimentary rock consisting of sandstone, dolomite and limestone, possible of the Ramhorn or McDame groups.
A tetrahedrite-bearing quartz vein is reported to occur in dolomite.
A sample across approximately 90 centimetres of vein on the Norma 3 claim yielded a trace of gold, 2880.02 grams per tonne silver and 7.65 per cent copper (Property File - Hennel, 1973). A ‘pyrite showing’ of undescribed character assayed trace gold, 17.14 grams per tonne silver and 0.05 per cent copper (Property File - Hennel, 1973).
Work History
In 2005, an airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey totalling 2,130 line-kilometres was flown over the Thrust property on behalf of United Exploration Management Inc. In 2012, BCarlin Resources Ltd. completed a program of rock and silt sampling on the area as the B 1-100 claims of the Blue Sheep property.
