The NW Block 561 showing area, located 37 kilometres north-northeast of the confluence of the Iskut and Stikine rivers, is underlain by sedimentary and volcanic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. The stratigraphy is intruded by Early Jurassic monzodiorite to gabbro of the Texas Creek Plutonic Suite and Eocene granite of the Major Hart Pluton. Further west, the area is underlain by Devonian to Permian sedimentary rocks of the Stikine Assemblage.
Semi-massive pyrite (25 per cent) occurs in a sericitized and silicified sulphide-rich zone, 12 metres wide by 30 plus metres long. A sample from this zone graded 0.14 gram per tonne copper and 0.53 gram per tonne silver (Sample 1430561, Assessment Report 35925).
See NW Block E597559 (104G 392) for related geologic details and a common work history.
