The High Stake zone of the Inel property occurs in an area that is primarily underlain by marine sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. Lower Jurassic andesitic volcanics of the Hazeleton Group overlie the Stuhini rocks and Early Jurassic feldspar porphyritic rock and monzodioritic to gabbroic rock intrude the strata.

Prospecting by Gulf International in 1991 located massive pyrite talus fragments which led to the mineralized source where two pyrite outcrops were mapped suggesting a west trending vein. These mineralized outcrops have concentrations of auriferous pyrite (20 to 80 per cent) with an average width of 2.8 meters. Host rocks are banded sediments which trend 190 degrees and dip 32 degrees east. Chip channel samples assayed 3.3 metres grading 7.58 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 22026).

The High Stake occurrence is situated approximately 600 metres south-southeast of the INEL prospect and is at the southern end of an extensive drill program in the INEL area conducted from 2014 to 2018 by Colorado Resources Ltd. Colorado Resources Ltd. announced its name change to QuestEx Gold & Copper Ltd. on September 16, 2020.

See Inel (MINFILE 104B 113) for details of related mineralization and work history.
