The West Creek area is underlain by Devonian metadsedimentary and metavolcanic rocks of the Stikine Assemblage. The Devonian Forrest Kerr Pluton is in contact to the immediate west of the Stikine package. Plutonic rocks consist primarily of Late Devonian granite and diorite.

Several rock samples taken at this locality assayed from 0.5 to 21 per cent copper. one sample assayed 0.024 gram per tonne gold and 21 per cent copper (Assessment Report 20562, Figure 66).
