The area of the Win 2SE showing is underlain by marine sedimentary rocks and volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. An Eocene pluton of the Coast Plutonic Complex intrudes the strata to the east of the showing area.
Several samples taken over a 300 metre stretch along a north trending zone yielded the following results (Assessment Report 18539): carbonatized andesite with 5 per cent pyrite assayed 60 parts per billion gold, 3.1 grams per tonne silver silver and 0.06 per cent copper (Sample 22480); moderately gossanous, carbonatized andesite assayed 0.12 per cent zinc (Sample 22482); carbonatized andesite with a trace of epidote and pyrite assayed 0.57 per cent zinc (Sample 22486) and; quartz-carbonate vein assayed 140 ppb gold, 1.4 grams per tonne silver and 0.05 per cent copper (Sample 22492).
In 1987, a set of orthophotographic maps were prepared for Northwest Gold Syndicate to cover the Rob 17 and 18 and Win 1 and 2 claims and a structural interpretation was completed.
In 1988, an exploration program was completed on the Win 2 and 8 mineral claims of Akiko-Lori Gold Resources Ltd. Work entailed geological mapping, prospecting, rock and soil sampling and a ground electromagnetic survey. A total of 102 rock samples and 725 soil samples were collected.
In 2010, Twin Glacier Resources Ltd. examined the area as the Twin Glacier property.
