The occurrence is located on the Corey 6 claim, occurring immediately west of Unuk Finger Mountain. The rock has been recently mapped as mafic and intrusive rock of the Salmon River Formation, Hazelton Group (Assessment Report 30131). The northern contact of the Eocene Lee Brant Stock occurs within a few kilometres to the southwest of the occurrence.
A coarse-grained black gabbro plug is reported to contain 2.5 per cent coarse pyrite and pyrrhotite with traces of fine chalcopyrite (Assessment Report 16364). The gabbro may be related to Jurassic bodies that occur in the region.
