Capsule Geology

The Mag occurrence is situated in a sedimentary sequence of probable Permian age within the Paleozoic Stikine Assemblage, which has been intruded by a Jurassic(?) diorite plug. Skarn mineraliza- tion occurs along a limestone-diorite contact and consists of massive magnetite with minor pyrite and traces of chalcopyrite. No assays are available.
