The LS-9 showing is located just south of the West Kitsault River approximately 40 kilometres southeast of Stewart, or about 27 kilometres north of Alice Arm.

The occurrence area is underlain by intermediate volcanics, volcaniclastics and sediments of the Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group. In 1990, a quartz vein system with trace amounts of galena was found on the LS-9 claim; a rock grab sample (90371-ZR-70) yielded 0.068 per cent lead (Assessment Report 21399).

In 1990, Golden Rule Resources Ltd. conducted helicopter-supported reconnaissance prospecting, geological mapping and contour soil/stream sediment geochemical surveys.

During 2010 through 2019, Dolly Silver Corporation explored the area as part of the Dolly Varden property. A complete property exploration history can be found at the Dolly Varden (MINFILE 103P 188) occurrence.
