The Basin showing is located 3.0 kilometres due west of Kinskuch Lake, 20.5 kilometres north-northeast of Alice Arm. The area has periodically been explored since the 1920s.

The area is underlain by volcanics and sediments of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group and the Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group. The sediments are situated on the eastern limb of the north to northwest trending Mount McGuire anticline and have been regionally metamorphosed to greenschist facies.

The showing consists of several breccia/shear zones contained in an east dipping sequence of interbedded shale, argillite, siltstone, sandstone, conglomerate, limestone, volcanic breccia and massive to pillowed, aphanitic to porphyritic flows of the Stuhini Group.

A shear zone, 2 to 8 metres wide, has been traced by a series of trenches and pits for 200 metres. The zone strikes north-northeast, dips steeply east and is hosted in argillite, shale, siltstone and sandstone. The zone is mineralized with disseminations, blebs and veinlets of pyrite, chalcopyrite and tetrahedrite with sporadic malachite and azurite in a gangue of grey quartz and calcite. A 1.8 metre chip sample assayed trace gold, 137 grams per tonne silver and 2.2 per cent copper (Minister of Mines Annual Report 1924, page 54).

Northeast, about 600 metres, a quartz-calcite breccia zone has been traced for 16.8 metres in a trench and a 4.0 metre long adit. The zone strikes northwest, dips gently northeast and is 1.0 metre wide. A sequence of feldspar porphyritic volcanic, argillite and sandstone form the footwall. Mineralization consists of disseminations and veinlets of pyrite, chalcopyrite, tetrahedrite and arsenopyrite in a gangue of quartz, calcite and brecciated wallrock. A 1.0 metre long, 0.15 metre thick lens of massive tetrahedrite and arsenopyrite occurs on the hangingwall. A 40.6 centimetre chip sample from the east wall of the adit assayed 6479 grams per tonne silver and 16.7 per cent copper (Property File -Tribble, 1964, page 6).

In 2007, Bravo Venture Group Inc. collected 19 rock grab samples of vein-related mineralization. The best gold assay was 0.919 gram per tonne in sample 155074. Sample 155066 assayed 1.58 per cent copper and 176 grams per tonne silver, while sample 155079 contained 1.91 per cent copper, 112 grams per tonne silver and 0.18 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 29577).

In 1921-22, the Basin claims were initially staked and the ownership was attributed to A. MacLeod of Alice Arm. During the 1920s, small-scale development work by unknown parties was conducted on the mineralized trend that occurs on either side of Basin Lake. The exploratory activity included a series of small pits, trenches and a four metre long adit that collectively delineated over 600 metres of strike length to the zone. The main adit, located in a steep hillside north of the lake was centred on the flat lying shear zone that hosted the mineralization. In mid-1930, four of the claims were Crown granted to Mr. McLeod’s estate and remained inactive until J.P. McVittie leased them in 1963 and subsequently turned them over to Sirmac Mines Ltd. in 1964. In 1965, Sirmac conducted a ground based electromagnetic (EM) geophysical survey over the Basin and Silver Basin claims trying to detect conductive bodies. A VLF-EM geophysical survey was conducted along two baselines. The claims were permitted to lapse in 1967 and remained inactive until 1982 when NorCon Exploration Ltd. acquired the claims. The following year they completed a 1:20,000-scale prospecting program to establish the basic geology over an estimated 100 hectare area utilizing fieldwork and air photo assisted mapping. During August 1990, Hi-Tec Resource Management Ltd. conducted an exploration program for Adrian Resources Ltd. The program consisted of 1:10,000-scale geological mapping, prospecting, and lithogeochemical and contoured soil geochemical sampling over the Kin 1-6 mineral claims. A total of 83 rock samples and 80 soil samples were collected from the Kin group that wholly encompassed the Crown-granted Basin claims. In September 1990, Corona Corporation carried out six days of reconnaissance geological mapping, prospecting and sampling. Additionally, they completed a more comprehensive mapping and sampling program on the pre-existing development work from the 1920s. The program objective was to re-assess the regional fault structures and determine the properties potential for hosting volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits. A total of 38 rock samples and 14 soil samples were collected and resulted in several anomalous samples in silver, gold, copper and zinc. In 2004, prospector D. Reid staked nine legacy claims called Fossie that included the four reverted Crown-granted Basin claims. Ground-based work included collecting rock

samples from two of the existing pits/trenches and the adit. As well, six soils and one silt sample were collected. During the 2007 field season, a reconnaissance program was conducted on the property and a total of 19 rock grab samples of vein-related mineralization were collected. In 2008, Bravo Venture Group Inc. on behalf of owner L.M. Reid completed four days of surveying, prospecting, and mapping. Two diamond-drill holes were also completed during the same field season and were were designed to test the vertical extension of the known chalcopyrite and tetrahedrite mineralization exposed in old trenches and sampled during the 2007 field program. In total, 210.31 metres were drilled between the two holes.
