The area is underlain by argillites, conglomerates and quartz- ites of the Jurassic to Cretaceous Bowser Lake Group. A 135 degree striking, 45 degree northeast dipping quartz vein occurs in the sediments. The vein is up to 0.8 metres wide and is mineralized with chalcopyrite. A selected sample assayed 1.1 per cent copper, 44.6 grams per tonne silver and 0.34 grams per tonne gold (Minister of Mines Annual Report 1930).
