Capsule Geology

The BR 211 showing area is underlain by marine sedimentary and volcanic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini (Takla) Group. Rocks of the Jurassic Hazelton Group occur to the northeast and southwest of the Stuhini package. Permian Asitka Group crystalline limestones are the oldest rocks exposed in the region.

In 2004, Stealth Minerals Ltd collected several samples from one area of their Breccia claims. A sample of a quartz vein with 20 per cent chalcopyrite and lesser bornite, galena and pyrite assayed greater than 1 per cent copper, 0.62 per cent lead, 0.67 per cent zinc, 41.5 grams per tonne silver and 0.1 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 27635). Other samples in the area were high in base metals and silver.
