Capsule Geology

The BR 794 occurrence is located 3.6 kilometres south-southeast of Moosehorn Lake about 247 kilometres northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.

The BR 794 showing area is underlain by marine sedimentary and andesitic volcanic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. Rocks of the Lower-Middle Jurassic Hazelton Group occur to the northeast and southwest of the Stuhini package. Further northeast are Early Jurassic intrusive rocks. Devonian-Permian Asitka Group crystalline limestones are the oldest rocks exposed in the region.

In 2004, Stealth Minerals Ltd. collected several samples from one area of their Breccia claims. A sample of limestone with 10 per cent malachite, azurite and chalcopyrite assayed 56.4 grams per tonne silver, 0.13 gram per tonne gold, greater than 1 per cent lead, greater than 1 per cent zinc, and greater than 1 per cent copper (Assessment Report 27635).
