The Nikos occurrence is located on the Ingenika River approximately 1.6 kilometres above the mouth of McConnell Creek (Geology, Exploration and Mining in British Columbia 1973, page 455).
Regionally, the area lies within the Quesnel Terrane, bounded to the east by the northwest trending Swannell fault and to the west by the north-northwest trending Ingenika fault. In the Nikos area, Upper Triassic volcanic rocks of the Takla Group have been intruded by mid-Cretaceous quartz diorite and Early Jurassic monzodiorite of the Fleet Peak Pluton. Mineralization consists of chalcopyrite and pyrite in sheared volcanic rocks. The shears are near a small granodiorite intrusion.
In 2007, Serengeti Resouces Inc. carried out a high resolution magnetic and radiometric survey over the property (Assessment Report 29768). The most west-northwestern part of the survey covered the Nikos area.
