Capsule Geology

The Ritz occurrence is located 13 kilometres northeast of Aiken Lake and approximately 96 kilometres north-northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.

The area of the Ritz showing is underlain by brown limestone and phyllite of the Neoproterozoic Tsaydiz Formation (Ingenika Group). The rocks are cut by quartz veins, up to 50 centimetres wide, which are reported to contain carbonate and sulphides with malachite staining.
