The Hogem Copper occurrence is located 17 kilometres east of Mount Ferris and approximately 80 kilometres northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.
The showing area is underlain by diorite, monzonite, and granodiorite of the Early Jurassic Hogem Plutonic Suite.
This copper occurrence is noted on Geological Survey of Canada Map 1030A. No description is available but mineralization is inferred to be disseminated chalcopyrite. Later work, in 2012, identified at least three quartz veins traceable for approximately 40 metres, hosting pyrite, chalcopyrite, and galena.
In 2012, Tajiri Resource Corp. conducted a helicopter supported property-wide reconnaissance geochemical investigation of their OGK property. A total of 68 rock, 112 stream sediment, and 383 soil samples were collected and submitted for assay. A helicopter supported airborne geophysical survey consisting of magnetics, VLF/EM, and radiometric surveys over four blocks totalling 505 line-kilometres was also completed. Samples of mineralized quartz veins yielded up to 1.49 grams per tone gold and 0.34 per cent copper (Westphal, M. (2014-06-26): Technical Report on the OGK Property).
