The Snoopy showing is located 1.6 kilometres northwest of Nizik Lake, 7.5 kilometres northeast of the Bell mine (093M 001).
The documented location of this copper showing appears to be near an outcrop of the Triassic to Early Jurassic Topley Intrusions which are dioritic to quartz dioritic in composition. There is no other information available.
Work History
The Snoopy group of claims was held in 1968 by Texas Gulf Sulphur Company. Work included geological mapping and a geochemical soil survey.
In 2011, a 2845 line-kilometre airborne magnetic survey was carried out by Astorius Resources Ltd over ground that encompassed the Snoopy showing. The magnetic pattern could be used to map the underlying stratigraphy with the sedimentary rocks exhibiting a smooth low magnetic response, the volcanics a higher response with high frequency chop, and the intrusives a higher but smoother signature in a limited size.
