The Hannah showing is underlain by the Lower Jurassic Telkwa Formation (Hazelton Group) volcanics comprised of variegated red, green, maroon to grey andesitic to rhyolitic flows, tuffs, and breccia. The volcanics are intruded by Late Cretaceous quartz-feldspar porphyry and associated felsite dikes of the Bulkley Plutonic Suite.

On the Hannah, a shattered zone striking north, hosts numerous veinlets of quartz and quartz infillings. Some of the veinlets show considerable intergrowth of feldspar forming pegmatitic felsite dikes. Some of the veinlets host minor tetrahedrite with malachite staining.

On the Gipsy Queen claim, which adjoins the Hannah, a vein or dike of decomposed talcy material carries considerable quartz with some malachite staining. The vein ranges from 1.2 to 1.8 metres in width. A sample of the best mineralization assayed trace gold, 41.14 grams per tonne silver, copper nil (Minister of Mines Annual Report 1914, page 222). Open cuts in the oxidized vein exposed a few specks of bornite with malachite staining.

WORK HISTORY

The Hannah group, comprising the H. and 0. and W.J. claims, was staked in 1912 by Mark Hannah and James Oberholtzer. A crosscut adit being driven in 1914 had a length of 20 metres at the time of inspection. The adjoining Gipsy Queen and Blue Grouse claims were owned by Paddy Quinn and partner. The workings on these claims included open cuts, and 2 adits, 6 and 9 metres in length.

A sample collected by Lions Gate Energy in 2007 yielded 0.089 per cent copper with 12.1 grams per tonne (sample 10305) (Assessment Report 30188, 30731).

In 2007, Lions Gate Energy Corp conducted an Aerotem airborne geophysical survey on parts of the El Toro property which also covered the Hunter Basin area that included Idaho (093L 040), King (093L 041), Hunter (093L 042), Colorado (093L 043), Rainbow (093L 044), Tribune (093L 255) and Hannah (093L 080) (Assessment Report 29456).

The 2008 El Toro program of Lions Gate Energy Inc conducted 1495 line kilometre airborne magnetic and electromagnetic geophysical survey covered the Hunter Basin area that included Idaho (093L 040), King (093L 041), Hunter (093L 042), Colorado (093L 043), Rainbow (093L 044), Tribune (093L 255) and Hannah (093L 080).
