The Golden Sky occurrence is located in the western head waters of Towkuh Creek, approximately 4 kilometres north of Ketcham Lake.
Regionally, the area is underlain by ophiolitic and basaltic volcanic rocks, chert and argillite of the Mississippian to Permian Antler Formation (Slide Mountain Terrane).
Locally, a mineralized shear zone, trending 070 degrees for over 25 metres, is hosted by altered layered sediments and volcanics which are cross-cut by narrow quartz veins. A gabbro dike cutting basalts is also reported in the area.
In 2013, a grab sample assayed 1.51 grams per tonne gold, 1.37 per cent zinc, 0.48 per cent lead and 0.13 per cent antimony, while samples taken over 3 metres averaged 0.67 gram per tonne gold and 0.24 per cent lead (Laird, B.L. (2017-11-15): NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Hedge Hog Property).
The area has been explored in conjunction with the nearby Lottie (MINFILE 093H 156) occurrence and a complete exploration history can be found there.
