The MOFFAT EAST showing is located approximately 5 kilometres north of Eagle (Murphy) Lake and 47 kilometres east of the community of 150 Mile House.

The Moffat property is underlain by the Late Triassic to Early Jurassic Takomkane batholith.

Mineralization has been noted to consist mainly of veinlet-hosted chalcopyrite. The gold zone found in drillhole MOF-05 was found in a series of albite-quartz-potassium feldspar-hematite veins and quartz-calcite veins in brecciated monzonite (Assessment Report 32716).

WORK HISTORY

In 1993 Pioneer Metals Corp completed prospecting traverses and a soil sampling program. Follow-up programs consisted of a soil sampling program conducted in 1997 by Norian Resources Corp.

In 2005, an airborne gamma-ray spectrometric and aeromagnetic survey was flown over the property (Murphy Lake Geophysical Survey, Geological Survey of Canada Open File 5292).

In 2008, P. Schiarizza of the BC Geological Survey collected a grab sample of mineralized outcrop assaying 0.167 per cent copper, 0.10 gram per tonne gold and 1.43 grams per tonne silver. The area of this mineralized outcrop formed the focus for exploration work by Fjordland Exploration Inc. from 2009 to 2011.

In 2010, Fjordland Exploration Inc. completed programs, including prospecting, soil geochemistry and 11 kilometres of IP geophysical surveys. Highlights of this program include sample MR-10-05, which assayed 0.29 gram per tonne gold, 6.94 grams per tonne silver and 0.36 per cent copper (Assessment Report 31872). In 2011, Fjordland Exploration Inc. completed geochemical soil sampling, IP geophysical surveys, geological mapping and diamond drilling. Highlights include drillhole MOF-05, which returned 9.9 metres grading 3.5 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 32716).

In 2016, J.B. Kreft conducted prospecting and till sampling over the Moffat East showing area. Pacific Empire Minerals Ltd. focused a reverse drilling program of 7 short holes totalling 382.5 metres over an area characterized by a magnetic low in 2018.

Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. commenced exploration on their Eagle Lake property in 2022 with a program of MMI soil sampling and rock sampling in the area of the 2011 Fjordland drilling. The MMI survey identified an 850 by 700 metre gold-copper-silver-molybdenum anomaly which occurs adjacent to drill hole MOF-5. Limited prospecting located previously documented chalcopyrite and pyrite mineralized outcrops as well as possible new zones. Mineralized 2011 drill core intercepts were also examined and re-logged (Assessment Report 41078).

In 2024, Trailbreaker conducted a 4 square kilometre high resolution magnetic survey overlapping the identified anomalous area. Two sets of magnetic lineaments were highlighted (Assessment Report 42290).
