The BEER showing is located 5.5 kilometres north-northwest of the community of Eagle Creek on Canim Lake. The showing is exposed on the west side of the road between Roger Lake and Judy Lake. The Beer showing and July showing (092P 112) are on the Canim West property, part of the currently explored Iron Lake property, which also includes the Island Lake (092P 132) prospect and the Cate (092P 182), Lisa (092P 222), showings.

Pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and bornite occurring as disseminations, blebs and small irregular stringers are reported at the main showing and elsewhere on the Beer claims. The claim area is underlain by Upper Triassic Nicola Group andesitic volcanics intruded by and in contact with the dioritic Triassic to Jurassic Takomkane batholith to the west. The rocks are highly sheared, fractured and locally brecciated.

Soil and rock sampling and induced polarization/magnetometer surveys in the 1970s through early 1980s determined copper-in-soil and IP/mag anomalies in the area extending from Roger Lake (July showing - 092P 112) northeast to Judy and Beverly lakes, including the Beer showing (092P 125) (Assessment Reports 4265, 4266).

Sample 1605569, obtained from an outcrop of epidote and potassium feldspar veining in green Nicola volcanic rock, 550 metres southwest of the Beer showing in 2014, assayed 0.39 per cent copper, 2.54 grams per tonne silver and 0.12 gram per tonne gold. The Wilkins zone, 1.3 kilometres west of the Beer showing was first identified in 2014 and confirmed in 2021 through mapping and rock sampling, in an area of intrusive breccias up to 50 metres wide.

WORK HISTORY

Various mining companies and individuals have worked the area in and around the current Canim West property since the early 1960s. During the early 1970s, Aragon Exploration Ltd held much of the ground around and to the north and east of the Property, on what was called the Canim Lake property. Exploration consisted of geological mapping, soil geochemical surveys and an induced polarization ("IP") and ground magnetometer survey. This work led to the discovery of the Beer showing.

Utah Mines Ltd. carried out work on the July group of claims in 1972, focused on the copper-bearing porphyry potential of the Nicola-Takomkane intrusive contact. Exploration consisted of geological mapping, a soil geochemical survey and a ground magnetic survey (Assessment Report 4496). This work identified copper mineralization, chlorite-epidote alteration within monzonitic dikes and volcanic breccia known as the July showing (Minfile 092P 112). In 1971 and 1972, Aragon Exploration conducted geological mapping, soil sampling for copper and zinc, and trenching over copper anomalies to the north and east of the Canim West property. Induced polarization and magnetometer surveys were run on the property in November 1972.

In 1990, Princeton Mining Corporation optioned the Clay property (092P 155) to the south of Roger Lake, and extended the property to the north. The Beer showing was included in what was called the After claim (Assessment Report 20469). The extension was subsequently dropped, and Dave Ridley staked the area as the Straw claims. In 1993, Ridley, along with D. Dunn of Pioneer Metals Corporation mapped and prospected the Canim West property for mineralization and alteration, and carried out some soil, rock and silt sampling (Assessment Report 23279).

In 2014, the Canim West property, including the July and Beer showings, was acquired by Tech-X Resources Inc. The initial program involved geological and alteration mapping and rock sampling of altered and/or mineralized showings. A soil geochemistry grid was conducted over the central portion of the claims. This work has outlined copper, silver and gold in soil anomalies (Assessment Report 35201). Subsequently, the soil grid was expanded to the east in 2019 (Assessment Report 38651). In 2022, Tech-X Resources and Eastfield Resources completed 48.3 line kilometres of induced polarization on their Iron Lake property, including the Beer area (Assessment Report 40980).
