The Rogers Creek (Target III) occurrence is located on a ridge separating the lower Rogers Creek and the Lillooet River.

The area is underlain by granodioritic rocks the Miocene Rogers Creek Stock and by sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Lower Cretaceous Gambier Group.

Locally, a 200 metre diameter zone of hematite and clay-sericite altered breccia hosts a thin (0.2 centimetre) quartz-sulphide vein. A sample assayed 0.4 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 31262).

To the west, of the previous showing, gossanous metavolcanic and metasedimentary rocks (Gambier Group) host quartz veins with chalcopyrite and sphalerite. In 2009, a chip sample (803728) assayed 0.315 per cent copper, 9.38 grams per tonne silver and 2.32 grams per tonne gold over 0.5 metre (Assessment Report 31262).

Work History

In 1983, Placer Development completed a program of rock, silt and soil sampling on the area as the Cloud claim. In 1985, Noranda completed a program of geological mapping and rock and soil sampling on the area as the RC 1-2 claims. During 2007 through 2009, Wallbridge Mining Company completed programs of rock, silt and soil sampling, geological mapping and airborne and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the Roger Creek property. During 2010 through 2012, Miocene Metals completed programs of rock, silt and soil sampling and airborne geophysical surveys on the area as the Rogers Creek property. During 2013 through 2017, Carube Copper Corp. examined the area as the Rogers Creek property. In 2015, a program of soil sampling was completed on the I and IV zones and a 6 line-kilometre induced polarization survey was completed on the I zone. In 2016, a reconnaissance soil sampling program was performed along a newly build logging road in the area.
