The Eye showing is located in outcrop 8 kilometres south of the west end of Pimainus Lakes. The mineralized zone is located close to final claim posts of the former Eye 27 and 28 claims (Assessment Report 230). The area is underlain by Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic Guichon Creek Batholith Border phase quartz diorite in contact with Upper Triassic Nicola Group metamorphosed volcanics. Middle and Upper Cretaceous Spences Bridge Group volcanics and sediments unconformably overlie the batholith and Nicola rocks to the west. Outcrop covers only 2 per cent of the area. Locally, a 30 by 4 metre zone comprising narrow chalcopyrite and malachite veinlets and disseminated chalcopyrite occurs in an east trending, steep dipping structure in quartz diorite. Numerous andesite porphyry dikes cut the intrusive. Work History In 1958, Northwestern Explorations completed a program of soil sampling, geological mapping and a ground magnetometer survey on the area as the Eye claims. In 1970, Highland Chief Mines Ltd. completed an 80.6 line-kilometre ground electromagnetic survey on the area as the A, B, CC and Key claims. In 1973, Highland Chief Mines completed a program of soil sampling and a 47.0 line-kilometre ground magnetometer survey on the area as the Egg and GK claims. In 2007 and 2008, Appleton Exploration completed programs of prospecting and soil sampling on the area as the Clapperton property. During late 2008 through 2012, Happy Creek Minerals completed programs of geochemical (rock, silt and soil) sampling, geological mapping, three diamond drill hole, totalling 740.9 metres, an induced polarization survey and a 1463.0 line-kilometre airborne gamma ray spectrometer and magnetic survey on the area as the West Valley property. During 2013 through 2019, Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. completed programs of geological mapping, geochemical (rock, silt and soil) sampling, a 32.3 line-kilometre induced polarization survey and re-interpretating historical airborne geophysical data on the area as apart of the Rateria-West Valley property.
