The TO showing is located on a steep hillside just west of Ashnola River, approximately 13 kilometres west of Keremeos.
The area is underlain by argillites, chert and intermediate to mafic Apex Mountain Group volcanics, formerly known as the Bradshaw, Old Tom, Showmaker, Independence and Barslow formations.
A quartz vein a few centimetres to half a metre wide occurs in volcanics of the Ordovician to Triassic Apex Mountain Complex. The vein strikes northeast, dips steeply 75 to 80 degrees to the northwest and pinches and swells along strike with some minor branching. The quartz vein is mineralized with pyrite and chalcopyrite; some sulphides appear in the exposed footwall.
An old adit follows the vein for approximately 35 metres. Two channel samples were taken along the adit; one sample assayed 20.5 grams per tonne silver and 0.03 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 22421).
In 1992, International Tower Hill Mines Limited located and cleaned out the old adit and took two channel samples. Velocity Minerals Inc. carried out a prospecting and geological mapping program on the Ashnola claim group in 2010, including locating and sampling near the Prince (MINFILE 092HSE056), Kel (MINFILE 092HSE090), Soft (MINFILE 092HSE187), Woodgrain (MINFILE 092HSE188) and Nova (MINFILE 092HSE249) showings covered by the claim group. In 2012, DGW & Associates carried out a reconnaissance exploration program on the Ashnola property. Five rock samples were collected to the immediate southwest of the TO occurrence, with the intention of having them assayed in the future.
