The Komo showing is situated on Gate Mountain in the Fraser Canyon.
The area is dominated by quartz diorite, diorite, granodiorite and minor ultramafic rocks of the Spuzzum Pluton and is situated at the north end of the Hozameen Fault, where it intersects with the Hope Fault. Associated with the Hozameen Fault is the Hozameen Complex, consisting of undifferentiated chert, pelite, mafic volcanics, minor limestone, gabbro and ultramafic rocks. To the east is the Ladner Group of slaty argillite, siltstone, wacke, tuffaceous wacke and conglomerate.
Locally, small quartz veins are situated in porphyry and slate hostrocks, with the best mineralization occurring in sheeted veins hosted in greenstone.
The Komo showing was discovered in 2006 by prospector Murray Halliday. Sampling of the sheeted veins reported up to 2.61 grams per tonne gold, 14 grams per tonne silver, 1315 parts per million copper, 5240 parts per million lead, 3710 parts per million zinc and 137 parts per million cadmium (Assessment Report 29071). No work has been recorded for this showing since its discovery.
