The Rogers Creek (Target IV) occurrence is located on the northwest slopes of Fire Mountain.

The area is underlain by granodioritic rocks the Miocene Rogers Creek Stock and by sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Lower Cretaceous Gambier Group.

Locally, the northern contact of the Rogers Creek granodiorite with Mesozoic sediments of the Gambier Group hosts two outcrop showings with molybdenite, chalcopyrite and malachite. The mineralization is controlled by north-northwest trending structures, veinlets, and fractures.

In 2009, sampling of quartz-carbonate veins with sulphides yielded values of up to 0.34 per cent copper, 0.024 per cent molybdenum, 75 grams per tonne silver and 3.84 grams per tonne gold (Jago, B.C. (2009-12-31): 2009 Technical Report on the Rogers Creek Property).

In 2010, rock samples yielded values up to 1.56 per cent copper, 0.69 gram per tonne gold and 16.2 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 33007).

Work History

During 2007 through 2009, Wallbridge Mining Company completed programs of rock, silt and soil sampling, geological mapping and airborne and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the Roger Creek property.

During 2010 through 2012, Miocene Metals completed programs of rock, silt and soil sampling and airborne geophysical surveys on the area as the Rogers Creek property.

During 2013 through 2017, Carube Copper Corp. examined the area as the Rogers Creek property. In 2015, a program of soil sampling was completed on the I and IV zones and a 6 line-kilometre induced polarization survey was completed on the I zone. In 2016, a reconnaissance soil sampling program was performed along a newly build logging road in the area.
