The Tahsis Inlet limestone occurrence is located on the east side of Tahsis Inlet, approximately 5 kilometres south east of Tahsis.
The area is underlain by limestone of the Upper Triassic Quatsino Formation (Vancouver Group) which strikes 315 degrees and dips 45 degrees west. These have been intruded by a quartz dioritic rocks of the Eocene Catface or Mount Washington Plutonic Suite to the south east.
In 1980, Pan Pacific Oil compelted a program of rock and silt sampling and geological mapping. This work identified anomalous gold values in stream sediments in Weymer and Malaspina creeks. In 1987, Stow Resources completed a program of prospecting and rock and silt sampling on the area as the Perry 1-6 claims. In 2007, Grande Portage Resources completed a regional geochemical program on the area as the Cherry Property. In 2011, Gold Ridge Exploration completed a regional geochemical sampling program on the Tahsis Property.
