The Orn 1 showing is located in the head waters of Solly Creek, south east of Mount Hall.

The showing occurs in a gabbro sill (part of the informally called Mount Hall Gabbro) that is coeval with the Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation, Vancouver Group.

Locally, a 5 centimetre wide quartz vein is hosted in a 10 centimetre wide shear zone that strikes 009 degrees and dips 80 degrees to the southeast. The quartz is limonitic, fractured and contains irregular lenses, up to 5 millimetres wide by 2 centimetres long, of chalcopyrite, specular hematite and malachite. A sample of mineralized material contained 0.07 grams per tonne gold, 16.4 grams per tonne silver and 0.42 per cent copper (Assessment Report 17351, page 36).

In 1987, E.W. Hayes completed a program of geological mapping and rock and silt sampling. In 1987 and 1990, programs of geochemical sampling, geological mapping, and ground geophysical surveys were completed by Avondale Resources. From 2000 through 2002, the area was prospected by M. Schau as the Pie 1-4 claims.
