The MAL002 showing is located on the western shore of Adams Lake, approximately at the 52 kilometres mark on the Adams West Forest Service Road.
Regionally, the area is at the contact between granites and granodiorites of the Cretaceous Baldy Batholith, low grade meta sedimentary and meta volcanic rocks of the Mississippian Eagle Bay Assemblage and Late Devonian orthogneiss. To the south, there are intrusive rocks of the Jurassic Nelson Suite, including the Honeymoon Bay Stock.
Locally, a 4.0 metre section of malachite staining is hosted in a Devonian paragneiss.
Sampling, in 2007, returned values up to 8.5 grams per tonne silver, 0.458 per cent copper and 0.004 per cent molybdenum (Assessment Report 29407).
In 2009, a sample (322634) assayed 0.156 per cent copper (Assessment Report 30869).
