The Faller occurrence is located approximately 600 metres northeast of the junction of Meachen and Fiddler creeks, at an elevation of approximately 1360 metres.

The area is underlain by quartzite and siltstone of the mid-Proterozoic (middle) Aldridge Formation (Purcell Supergroup), intruded by meta-gabbro or meta-diorite of the Proterozoic Moyie Intrusions. Three or more of these sills, from 60 to 180 metres thick, strike in a north west direction through the area for an aggregate length of 3.5 kilometres.

Locally, a diorite, gabbro and quartzite host a 1.0 to 2.0-metre wide, southeast trending, mineralized and quartz-veined shear zone. Mineralization consists of chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and galena with minor tetrahedrite occurring as fracture coatings and disseminations. Malachite, azurite and hematite staining occurs adjacent to the veins. The zone has been traced for a vertical distance of 60 metres and a strike length of 120 metres before being covered by talus.

In 1901, samples from the Faller occurrence were reported to have assayed 205 grams per tonne silver with 3 to 26 per cent copper and 3.4 to 6.8 grams per tonne gold (Annual Report 1901).

In 1972, an 0.6 to 1.5-metre wide channel sample (CH1936) assayed 1.36 per cent copper and 2.7 grams tonne silver (Assessment Report 4235).

In 1984, five grab samples (F-002 to F-007) from the main adit yielded 8.6 to 78.7 grams per tonne silver, 0.87 to 2.82 per cent copper and trace to 0.78 per cent lead, whereas a chip sample assayed 3.4 grams per tonne silver and 0.49 per cent copper over 1.70 metres (Assessment Report 12825).

In 1989, a dump sample (7209) assayed 1.72 per cent copper, 1.59 per cent lead and 60.6 grams per tonne silver, whereas a chip sample (7208) assayed 0.14 per cent copper over 1.5 metres (Assessment Report 19149).

The Faller group, consisting of six claims, was first reported on in 1900, when approximately 150 metres of tunnelling were reported to have been completed on two adits. The Selkirk Copper Mines, Limited, incorporated at Moyie in May 1903, is believed to be the company that carried out exploration work on the property until approximately 1905. The workings at that time included two adits totalling approximately 152 metres of crosscuts and drifts.

The JAG 1-58 claims were staked in March 1972 by A. Hopkins, of Toronto. Mount Evans Copper Corp. Inc., incorporated in Ontario in May 1972, acquired 18 of the Jag claims. During this time a program of rock and soil sampling, geological mapping and trenching was completed on the claims. The following year, a program of rock, silt and soil sampling and a 0.2 line-kilometre induced polarization survey were completed. In 1984 and 1985, Grom Resources completed programs of geochemical sampling, geological mapping and a 9.5 line-kilometre ground electromagnetic survey on the area as the Goodhope and Whitefish claim groups. In 1989, Yellow Band Resources completed a program of geological mapping and a 6.0 line-kilometre induced polarization survey on the area as the Evans 1 and Terra 3 claims. In 1997, Cominco collected soil samples in the area as the Tow claims.
