The CM group is underlain mainly by Cretaceous diorite and granodiorite of the Nelson Intrusions. Amygdaloidal andesite of the Eocene Penticton Group is observed to overlie the granodiorite on a portion of the claim group. Minor sulphides are reported to occur in small quartz veins and silicification in granodiorite on the CM 1 claim. Copper mineralization is reported to occur on the CM 1 claim but it is not clear if it is associated with the minor sulphides.

In 1970, an EM-16 electromagnetic survey was conducted on CM 3 and 5 claims by Boundary Exploration Limited. During 2008 through 2012, Grizzly Discoveries Inc. completed programs of geochemical sampling, geological mapping and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the Greenwood property.
