Capsule Geology

An east-west striking fault cuts northeast trending limey tuff probably of the Triassic Brooklyn Formation. Pyrite and chalcopyrite occur weakly along the fault in skarn zones. Magnetite occurs erratically along the fault and along the walls of small biotite porphyry intrusions.

In 1991, Orvana Minerals Corp. reported an Ike occurrences in the same vicinity as that reported above in 1971 by Ryslo Silver Mines. This is described as an occurrence with massive pyrrhotite mineralization with chalcopyrite. A sample yielded 0.17 per cent copper and 0.12 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 22105).
