The Ru Silver occurrence is located near the summit of Mount Leonard about 21 kilometres northeast of the community of Atlin.

The area is underlain by the contact of the Middle Jurassic Fourth of July Creek batholith (Three Sisters Plutonic Suite) and the Mount Leonard Boss. The Mount Leonard Boss is the western part of the Late Cretaceous Surprise Lake batholith (Surprise Lake Plutonic Suite) but separated from the main batholith by a pendant of Mississippian to Triassic Cache Creek Complex rocks.

The Fourth of July batholith is a fairly uniform medium grained biotite-hornblende diorite to granodiorite. In the occurrence area the Mount Leonard Boss is composed of quartz monzonite.

A silver-bearing vein has an indicated length of about 460 metres. Samples taken from the adit over a length of 34 metres are reported to average 1543 grams per tonne silver (National Mineral Inventory 104N/11 Ag1).

In 2002, geological, geochemical, and geophysical surveys were carried out on the Adanac claim group by Stirrup Creek Gold Ltd. A report was prepared by A. Kikauka on behalf of Stirrup, describing economically significant base and precious metal mineralization.

In 2006, Adanac Molybdenum Corporation conducted a diamond-drill program on the Adanac/Ruby Creek ‘porphyry molybdenum’ property, the samples of which were submitted for molybdenum and/or trace element analysis. In 2007/2008, Adanac Molybdenum conducted further drilling in the property.

Global Drilling Solutions Inc. acquired the majority of the claims comprising the current Ruby Creek Project in the spring of 2016 from Adanac Moly Corporation. In 2017, Global conducted geochemical sampling, drilling and ground geophysics on the Ruby Creek property. In 2018, Global carried out further geochemical sampling and drilling on this property. It’s mentioned that the Ruby Creek property remains of high interest for not only gold/molybdenum but also for silver and copper based on the exploration work during during 2017/2018 (Assessment Report 38256).

In 2021, an airborne SkyTEM survey was conducted by Stuhini Exploration on the Ruby Creek property, which revealed a number of regional trends across the property.
