The Dundee occurrence is located on the southeast flank of Table Mountain, on the north shore of Graham Inlet between Tagish and Atlin lakes, approximately 15 kilometres northwest of the community of Atlin.
Only one quartz-calcite vein has been evaluated on the Dundee property. It is hosted in rocks of the Middle Triassic to Early Jurassic Cache Creek Complex. However, they could be part of the Upper Cretaceous Carmacks Group, as indicated by Wheeler et al. (Geological Survey of Canada Open File 1565). The rocks are primarily greenish augite-hornblende-feldspar porphyritic andesite flows with lesser lapilli lithic tuffs, volcanic breccias and volcanic sandstones. A granite porphyry dike of the Late Tertiary Klusha Intrusions, texturally and compositionally heterogeneous, has intruded the volcanic rocks. This dike may be the hypabyssal equivalents of the Fourth of July Creek batholith (Middle Jurassic Three Sisters Plutonic Suite). This dike hosts the vein which follows a fissure system near the edge of the dike. The vein/dike strikes 030 degrees and dips 45 degrees northwest.
Strong mineralization occurs within the quartz-calcite vein and disseminated mineralization occurs in the wallrock. The most significant minerals are galena, chalcopyrite, malachite, and azurite. Vein thickness varies from 100 centimetres to 2 centimetres over a 10-metre distance. The vein is traced on surface for 30 metres and is truncated by a fault at the southeast end. Continuation of this vein after offset may occur on the Petty showing (104N 004), which is located 170 metres south.
The Dundee claims were staked prior to 1904 and sometime between then and 1907, two tunnels and two opencuts were made. The claims adjoined the Pelton claims to the northeast and the Petty claims to the southwest. The Pelton Group adjoins to the northeast along strike of the Dundee vein, although no such vein was found on the group.
In 2011-12, Blind Creek Resources Ltd. carried out soil, rock, and panning sampling on their Tagish Lake property after staking the area in 2010. In 2011, 168 soil samples and 4 rock samples were collected in the Graham Creek watershed and slopes of Table Mountain. During 2012, two small historic adits were located. Rock sample 8R297803 returned 44.6 grams per tonne silver, 0.03 grams per tonne gold, and greater than 1 per cent copper, lead, and zinc (Assessment report 33355). In 2013, Blind Creek Resources Ltd. continued work on their Tagish Lake property and collected 40 talus soil samples and 12 talus rock samples for analytical testing from the southeast slopes of Table Mountain.
