The GD 41 occurrence is located approximately 8.9 kilometres east-northeast of Mount Sister Mary, 7.9 kilometres north of the Stikine River and about 57 kilometres east-northeast of the village of Iskut. The showing is 950 metres west of the Joy 84 prospect (104H 010). The property lies in rugged mountainous terrain immediately north of the boundary between the Cassiar Mountains and the Spatsizi Plateau. Underlying the showing area are unnamed Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic andesite to rhyodacitic flows, breccia and tuff. At the showing, the units strike 025 degrees and dip 17 degrees east. Mineralization consists of native copper and chalcocite in a concordant epidote-rich (lesser zeolite and aragonite) zone at the base of an amygdaloidal andesite flow overlying a volcanic breccia. The mineralized section of the amygdaloidal flow, 0.5 metre thick, is exposed for 9 metres. A chip sample taken across the zone assayed 0.25 per cent copper (Property File - Bowser Resources Ltd., 1969).

In 1971, on behalf of Bowser Resources Ltd., an airborne magnetic survey was flown over their McBride River property which covers the GD 41 showing. A total area of 103 square kilometres was surveyed.
