The PL 9 SW showing area is underlain by marine sedimentary and volcanic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. The stratigraphy is intruded by Eocene granite of the Major Hart Pluton and Early Jurassic monzodiorite to gabbro of the Texas Creek Plutonic Suite. Further west the area is underlain by Devonian to Permian sedimentary rocks of the Stikine Assemblage.
A five to twenty-five centimetre quartz vein with pods of galena and chalcopyrite trends 104 degrees for five metres. Grab sample 459145 from this vein, assayed 91.6 grams per tonne silver, 0.25 gram per tonne gold, 0.36 per cent lead and 0.16 per cent copper (Assessment Report 19534).
