The Zig Zag area is underlain by rock of the Devonian Stikine Assemblage.
Exposed at the Zig Zag is a thin, 90 metres long sulphide zone striking north-south, dipping moderately to the east and located near the base of a thick limestone/mudstone unit less. Hanging wall and footwall rocks to limestone/mudstone unit are mafic volcanic rocks.
Iron carbonate and quartz altered limey mudstone, 2 to 3 per cent disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite and whispy quartz veinlets. Sample 672061 assayed 16.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.88 gram per tonne copper (Assessment Report 29475).
