The Ger showing is on a north-south trending ridge, approximately 17 kilometres southeast of the Bronson Airstrip on Iskut River and 60 kilometres southwest of Bob Quinn Lake on Highway 37.

The Ger area is underlain by marine sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group, intruded by Lower Jurassic stocks varying from monzodiorite to gabbro.

In 1990, prospecting along the eastern boundary of the Ger claims discovered a narrow 5 to 15 centimetre wide limonitic quartz vein (Ridge Vein) hosting 5 to 10 per cent pyrite mineralization. The vein is hosted within gossanous, strongly silicified and pyritiferous metagreywacke. The vein is exposed for 17 metres and along strike shows varying orientations of 348/40 west, 000/41 west, 024/60 northwest. The best rock sample assayed 12.21 grams per tonne gold, 12.0 grams per tonne silver and 131 parts per million copper (Assessment Report 21052).

A total of 50 prospect rock chip and 17 soil samples were collected by Jazzman Resources Inc. from the Ger 1-3 claims in 1990.

The 2019 exploration program of Imperial Metals examined and rock sampled 5 zones on the Pelican property, one of which was on the ridgeline extending north and south from the Ger showing vein (Zone 1). Geochemical analysis reports Au values ranging from 6.2 to 2352.5 parts per billion, Zn values ranging from 2 to 285 parts per million Ag values ranging from 0.1 to 15.7 parts per million. Anomalously high Au outcrop samples were found on each end of the traverse that reported Au values of 0.882 gram per tonne Au (#36556) in the South and 2.353 grams per tonnes Au (#36565) in the North. Also in the southern and central section of the traverse were high Ag values of 15.7 grams per tonne Ag and 13.8 grams per tonne Ag. (Assessment Report 38871).
