At the GNC2 showing, a small outcrop (2 by 3 metres) of chloritic aphanitic andesite of the Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group contains quartz sulphide veins with 1 per cent pyrite, 1 per cent chalcopyrite and 1 per cent galena. Mineralization occurs within the quartz veins, of which one sample assayed 15 parts per billion gold, 8.2 grams per tonne silver, 0.042 per cent copper, 0.31 per cent lead, 0.065 per cent zinc and 20 parts per million arsenic (Assessment Report 20030).
This showing was first defined by Calpine Resources in 1989 on its GNC property. See the nearby Tip Top occurrence (104B 591) for Work History of the GNC property.
