The SG occurrence, consisting of the Genevieve, Spiff and Bart zones, is located northwest of Brucejack Lake, approximately 500 metres southeast of the Red River Zone (MINFILE 104B 118).

The area is underlain by rocks of the Lower Jurassic Unuk River Formation, Hazelton Group. These rocks consist of sandstone, wackes and shale overlain by lapilli-tuff of andesitic composition. The Brucejack fault and associated splay faults cut the country rock in a north-south to northwest direction. North of Brucejack Lake, the fault system is bounded on the east by rocks of the Lower Jurassic Betty Creek Formation, Hazelton Group. A variety of Jurassic horn- blende syenites and alkali feldspar syenites occur in the area.

Locally, a dominant west- trending sinoidal shaped zone of quartz veining, stockwork and breccia (Genevieve Zone) with at least two southeast- trending splays (Spiff and Bart zones) occur. The Genevieve Zone has been traced along strike for 260 metres with widths variable to 12.60 metres. It is cut off to the east by the Brucejack Fault while to the west it is open along strike.

Mineralization consists of vuggy quartz veins containing 1 to 5 per cent pyrite with up to 2 per cent arsenopyrite and gold has been noted at the junction of the Genevieve and Spiff zones. All the zones occur within a shell of quartz-sericite-pyrite alteration.

In 1992, trenching on the Genevieve Zone returned values of 20.7 grams per tonne gold and 38.3 grams per tonne silver over 3.0 metres for a length of 130 metres. The Spiff and Bart zones returned 11.1 and 5.7 grams per tonne gold and 39.3 and 15.4 grams per tonne silver over 30 metres with an average width of 1.87 and 2.90 metres, respectively (Assessment Report 22657).

In 1993, the SG zone was tested by 7 drill holes, totalling 874.4 metres. Hole 93-417 intercepted a 9.1 metre section of weakly developed quartz vein stockwork coinciding with the projection of the SG Zone, including a 7.5 metre section averaging 2.0 grams per tonne gold and 3.4 grams per tonne silver. Previous drilling, 90 metres up-dip of the zone returned, 7.0 grams per tonne gold and 7.5 grams per tonne silver over 5 metres (Assessment Report 23169).

In 2010, drilling highlights included 0.87 gram per tonne gold and 3.02 grams per tonne silver over 121.50 metres in hole SU-48 (Armstrong, T.A. (2011-04-04): Technical Report and Updated Resource Estimate on the Snowfield-Brucejack Property).
