The Rest 1 showing occurs within an area of Upper Paleozoic andesite and volcaniclastic rock of the Stikine Assemblage. Chlorite alteration carrying chalcopyrite in chert/quartzite assayed 6.2 grams per tonne silver (Sample 32451, Assessment Report 18533).
Work History
In 1988, Kestrel Resources Ltd conducted a preliminary program of prospecting, sampling and geological mapping on Tic 2-5 mineral claims. A total of 119 rock chip samples and 22 silt samples were collected. They also conducted a program on the adjacent Rest 1 and 2 and Ker 9 claims where 47 rock and 3 silt samples were collected.
The 1990 geochemical program was designed to fill in gaps in geochemical sampling programs completed in 1988 and 1989 on the Rest 1 and 2, Ker 9 and Tic 4-5. During July-August of 1990, 26 rock chip samples were collected. A total of 26 rock chip samples were collected. The 1989 documenting report was not found.
See Northwest (104B 281) for details of work after the amalgamation of tenures by Romios Gold Resources Inc in the 2000s, when airborne geophysics was done over significant land areas and some work was done on specific targets.
