The Fridge showing is located approximately 18 kilometers east of the town of Stewart in northwestern British Columbia. The Fridge showing is located approximately 2.3 kilometres south of the Red Mountain property (MINFILE 103P 086) and approximately 1.2 kilometres east of the McAdam Zone (MINFILE 103P 220).

The region is underlain by sedimentary rocks of the Middle to Upper Jurassic Hazelton Group intruded by Eocene granitic Coast Plutonic Complex rocks.

In 2014, IDM Mining Ltd. optioned the Red Mountain property from Seabridge Gold Inc., and conducted a widespread exploration campaign including geological mapping, rock sampling, soil sampling, channel sampling, drilling, and historic core re-logging and sampling.

Recession of the Cambria Icefield east of Red Mountain has allowed for examination of the exposed rock units. In 2014, rock and channel sampling discovered the Fridge showing which is associated with a northeast trending structure that can be trace for 50 metres. Gold mineralization is hosted in sedimentary rocks, in close proximity to hornblende-feldspar bearing intrusive and volcanic rocks (IDM Mining Press Release Sept. 23, 2014). The volcanic rocks were noted in the field as tuff, brecciated tuff, and fine-grained volcaniclastic rocks (Assessment Report 35505). Mineralization is characterized by massive pyrite veins with local pyrrhotite and sphalerite. These veins have also been noted to contain quartz and calcite. Eight out of ten rock and channel samples taken at the Fridge showing in 2014 returned values greater than 1 gram per tonne gold. Three of these samples were taken from outcrop of massive pyrite and sphalerite, returning grades between 5.67 to 11.8 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 35505).
