The Bria 3 showing is located to the north east of the Flat River, approximately 30 kilometres east- south east of Stewart.
The property is underlined by mainly pyroclastic fragmental volcanic rocks belonging to the Betty Creek Formation. These rocks, ranging in composition from mafic to felsic include breccia lapilli tuff, lapilli tuff and ash tuff. Sporadic flows and agglomerate were also seen. These rocks are cut in many places by dikes of feldspar porphyritic andesite. In the northeast corner of the property rocks of the Betty Creek Formation are in contact with sedimentary rocks of the Salmon River Formation. Rocks of this formation are composed of black mudstone, siltstone and limestone.
Chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, tetrahedrite, malachite and azurite were found in discontinuous 0.15 to 1.0 metre, drusy, cockscomb-textured quartz veins within a 3.0 to 5.0 metre- wide sheared and solidified volcanic rock. On the west side of the Bria 3 claim, these quartz veins are approximately 125 metres apart. The chalcopyrite content is generally less than 1 per cent and locally up to 2 per cent. Arsenopyrite content is generally 1 per cent and locally up to 2 to 3 per cent. Malachite and azurite occur in minor amounts throughout.
The Band claims were staked by Kennco Explorations (Western) Ltd. in 1966 following a reconnaissance stream sediment sampling program that yielded anomalous molybdenum values in all streams draining the southern slopes of Banded Mountain. Follow-up work by Kennco included geological mapping and stream sediment, soils and talus fines sampling. Subsequent work, by JMT Services Ltd. was also oriented toward the assessment of molybdenum potential and included prospecting, geological mapping and the collection of soil and rock samples that were analyzed for molybdenum, lead and zinc only. In 1990, Bond Gold Canada Inc. conducted a reconnaissance geological and geophysical program. The current Band mineral claims were located by Richard T. Heard on October 1, 1993. In 1994, the area was explored by Teuton Resources Corp. under the Red claims. Exploratory programs between 1994 and 1996 have included reconnaissance geology, prospecting, one trial line of magnetometer readings and the collection and analysis of 34 stream sediment and 55 rock samples. In 2005, the property was explored by Pinnacle Mines Ltd., under the Victory 1-4 claims.
In 1996, two chip samples, across two parallel veins, returned 313.8 grams per tonne silver and 526.6 grams per tonne silver, respectively (Assessment Report 23938).
In 2005, grab samples returned up to 401 parts per billion mercury, 32 parts per million molybdenum and 1467 parts per million zinc (Assessment Report 27960).
