Capsule Geology

The QB occurrence is located 5 kilometres south of Moosehorn Lake about 251 kilometres northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.

The QB showing area is underlain by andesitic rocks of the Lower Jurassic Toodoggone Volcanics-Metsantan Member (Hazelton Group).

The Age claim was located to cover the possible southerly extension of Golden Lion mineralization (094E 077) located 2.7 kilometres north, and includes a quartz-barite vein area sampled previously in 1983 by Tom Schroeter, a British Columbia Geological Survey geologist, which reportedly yielded an assay of 17.14 grams per tonne gold (as reported in Assessment Report 24974).

In 1996, four rock samples collected from the QB showing contained only low values for gold, silver, lead and zinc. One sample assayed 16 parts per billion gold (Assessment Report 24974).

In 1996, exploration on the Golden Lion by Entourage Mining Ltd. consisted of prospecting, geology, diamond drill core examination and re-assaying, rock sampling of a quartz-barite showing on the Age claim south units, and magnetometer and VLF-electromagnetic surveys in the area of previous diamond drilling.
