The Hawk (HSW) occurrence is located 5 kilometres south of a main south fork of the Osilinka River, about 70 kilometres northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.

The Hawk property is located within the Early Jurassic Duckling Creek Syenite Complex, one of several phases comprising the Early Jurassic to Early Cretaceous Hogem Plutonic Suite.

The main rock types in the HSW area are leucocratic and mesocratic syenite, the latter intruding the former. Numerous clasts of mafic (Upper Triassic Takla Group?) volcanic rocks were observed, some contain abundant pyrite and chalcopyrite but too small to be of economic significance.

The prominent structural feature present is a northwest trending gossanous fault zone containing pyrite and chalcopyrite. Samples of gossanous material, however, showed a lack of gold enrichment.

Several samples from a 4 to 30 centimetre wide quartz vein assayed high in gold, the highest being 41.14 grams per tonne (Assessment Report 21412, page 18). Another sample taken of leucocratic syenite assayed 4.46 grams per tonne gold. Copper values from these samples ranged between 0.014 and 0.17 per cent copper (Assessment Report 21412).

In 2019, rock sampling about 300 metres south of the main HSW showing yielded 2224 parts per million copper and 206 parts per billion gold (Assessment Report 38587).

The SW veins (HSW, this description) are located 2200 metres west-northwest of the Radio veins (094C 139), on the same mineralized trend. The SW veins are identical to the Radio veins and consist of high-grade gold +/-copper in quartz-sulphide veins hosted by syenite. Discovery of the SW veins resulted from the Cyprus Gold Ltd. reconnaissance soil survey completed in 1990. Detailed rock chip sampling by Cyprus in the Hawk SW zone area was successful in uncovering several quartz veins ranging from 4 to 30 centimetres wide.

In 1995, Castleford Resources Ltd. conducted a work program focussed on expanding and detailing the known zones particularly the AD (094C 138) and Radio zones, although some prospecting was also completed.

Work by Redcorp Resources Ltd. in 2002 established that the SW zone lies along the same structure as the Radio veins and it was subsequently referred to by Redcorp as the western extension of the Radio veins. In 2002, Redcorp Resources Ltd. completed the Radio Southwest grid over the HSW area for the purpose of exploring for the extensions of the Radio zone as defined by soil anomalies outlined by the Cyprus work in 1990, and to obtain a profile across the trend of the mineralized zones.

During the 2019 field season, Alton Resource Corp. conducted an exploration program on the Hawk property consisting of petrological studies, geological mapping and geochemical sampling (40 soil, 18 silt, 40 rock).
