The Energy occurrence is located about 2 kilometres east of Uslika and Chudelatsa lakes, approximately 43 kilometres northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.

At the showing, thin discontinuous lenses (less than 1 to 15 centimetres in width) of impure silty/sandy lignite to sub-bituminous coal are hosted in an unnamed formation of Lower Cretaceous sandstones and conglomerates and/or undivided sedimentary rocks of the Upper Cretaceous to Miocene Uslika Formation.
